OVERVIEW

The W9JAM AT-Service Tool is an AnyTone radio service, configuration,
option, backup, restore, and RDT codeplug conversion utility.

This Linux release runs natively using .NET and Avalonia. The included
application is self-contained and does not require a separately installed
.NET runtime.

SUPPORTED RADIOS

- AnyTone AT-D168UV
- AnyTone AT-D578UV family
- AnyTone AT-D878UV family
- AnyTone AT-D890UV

Additional or provisional profiles may appear in the application.

SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS

- 64-bit x86 Linux
- glibc-based distribution
- Desktop environment with X11 or XWayland
- The following system libraries:
  - libX11
  - libICE
  - libSM
  - fontconfig
- systemd-udev or compatible udev implementation
- Administrator access during installation

INSTALLATION

Open a terminal in the extracted installer directory and run:

  sudo ./install.sh

After installation, unplug and reconnect the radio.

Start the application from the desktop application menu or run:

  w9jam-at-service-tool

INSTALLED FILES

Application:
  /opt/w9jam-at-service-tool/

Terminal command:
  /usr/local/bin/w9jam-at-service-tool

Desktop launcher:
  /usr/share/applications/w9jam-at-service-tool.desktop

Application icon:
  /usr/share/icons/hicolor/256x256/apps/w9jam-at-service-tool.png

AnyTone udev rules:
  /etc/udev/rules.d/99-anytone.rules

RADIO DEVICE NAMES

The included udev rules create persistent aliases where supported:

  /dev/anytone168
  /dev/anytone578
  /dev/anytone890

The underlying Linux device may appear as /dev/ttyACM0, /dev/ttyACM1,
or another ttyACM number. The application prefers the persistent AnyTone
alias when available.

The AnyTone AT-D578UV and AT-D878UV families use the same GD32 USB
vendor and product identifiers. Linux cannot reliably distinguish between
those two families from USB identification alone.

UNINSTALLATION

Run:

  sudo /opt/w9jam-at-service-tool/uninstall.sh

You may also run uninstall.sh from the extracted installer directory.

The uninstaller removes the application, command link, desktop launcher,
icon, and active udev rules. Before removing the active udev rules, it
preserves a timestamped backup under /etc/udev/rules.d/.

IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION

Changing service, dealer, band, mode, or option settings may affect radio
operation, regulatory compliance, warranty coverage, and codeplug
compatibility.

Back up the radio before making changes. Verify that the selected settings
are lawful for your location, license class, radio model, and intended use.

Do not disconnect power or USB while a write or verification operation is
in progress.
