Welcome to W9JAM.com. This website is operated by Jeremiah “W9JAM” Mulford.
Here’s the simple version before the legal wall of text humans apparently require for everything now:
- Your data is your data. I do not sell your information.
- I do not trade your information.
- I do not hand your phone number or email address to marketing companies.
- If you ask me to delete your information, I will make a reasonable effort to permanently remove it from my systems unless I am legally required to retain something for business, tax, fraud prevention, or regulatory reasons.
I built this site to help people with computers, ham radio, DMR, and related technology. Not to become one of those creepy data-harvesting companies that somehow knows your favorite sandwich before your own family does.

Your mobile phone number and SMS opt-in information will never be sold, rented, shared, or disclosed to third parties for marketing purposes. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. I know I get enough spam text as it is, and I’m sure you do too, and I don’t want to add to that problem.
Data Sharing
I do not sell your personal information. I do not share your information with advertisers, data brokers, or third-party marketing companies.
Information is only processed by trusted service providers that help operate this website and run my services. By submitting data on this site, you acknowledge it will be processed by:
- HubSpot: Used as my primary Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platform to securely process and store form submissions, manage contact properties, and deliver automated follow-up emails. (The basic, “Hey, I got your email and I’ll get back to you as quick as I can.,” or “Hey, I got your support request. Keep an eye out for my response and don’t forget to check your spam folder.,” type emails.)
- Payment & Hosting Processors: Trusted providers handling secure transactions and standard website infrastructure.
Those providers are only given the minimum information necessary to perform their services..
Abuse and Fraud Prevention
I reserve the right to retain, use, or disclose technical, call log, or contact details (including source IP addresses, voice recordings, and form input details) to investigate security incidents, form spam, or violations of our software license limitations. This may include sharing log data with upstream infrastructure operators (such as Amazon Web Services Abuse teams) to report unauthorized or malicious use of our network resources.
Data Retention & Deletion Requests
I believe people should have control over their own information. If you want your personal information deleted, contact me and request removal.
I will make a reasonable effort to permanently delete your information (including contact entries and related call recordings) from active systems and records within a reasonable timeframe unless retention is required by law or necessary for legitimate business, accounting, security, fraud prevention, or licensing enforcement purposes.
Examples of records that may need to be retained temporarily or selectively include:
- Tax and transaction records required for accounting compliance.
- Fraud prevention logs and records of blocked entities or unauthorized users.
- Call recordings or communication transcripts associated with an active or unresolved licensing or billing dispute.

Security
I make reasonable efforts to protect your information (including encrypted storage of call recording files) using standard security practices. However, no internet transmission or storage system is 100% secure. The internet is basically held together with caffeine, expired documentation, and old server hardware that refuses to die. Please avoid sending sensitive personal information through unsecured email whenever possible. For a bonus security tip, scroll to the bottom of the page to learn how to secure your email. Or, you can just click here.
Third-Party Links
This website may contain links to third-party websites including YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, X/Twitter, amateur radio resources, or vendor/manufacturer websites. I am not responsible for the privacy practices or content of third-party websites.
Children’s Privacy
This website is not directed toward children under 13, and I do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If your child is interested in Amateur radio or Computers, please encourage them, but also be there to keep them safe on the web too.

How to Use Encrypted Email As mentioned above, regular email is like sending a postcard through the mail—anyone handling it can technically read it. If you want to secure your email communications (with me or anyone else), you can encrypt your messages using PGP (Pretty Good Privacy) keys. When you use PGP, your email is scrambled into an unreadable puzzle before it leaves your device, and only the intended recipient possesses the key to unlock it.
Here is how you can set it up for free across different email providers:
- The Easiest Route: Switch to an Encrypted Provider If you want encryption without configuring keys manually, you can create a free account with an email provider that has security built into its foundation:
ProtonMail: The most popular free, end-to-end encrypted email service. If you email another ProtonMail user, it is automatically encrypted.
Tutanota: Another excellent, zero-knowledge encrypted email service based in Germany. - Securing Your Existing Email (Gmail, Outlook, Yahoo) If you want to keep your current email address but add encryption capabilities, you can use a browser extension that handles your PGP keys for you.
Step 1: Install Mailvelope: Download the free, open-source Mailvelope extension for Google Chrome, Edge, or Firefox.
Step 2: Generate Your Keys: Open the extension and click “Generate Key.” Enter your name and email address. This creates a Public Key (which you share with the world so people can encrypt messages sent *to* you) and a **Private Key** (which stays locked in your browser to decrypt messages sent *of* you).
Step 3: Share Your Public Key: To receive encrypted emails, you can upload your public key to global keyservers via Mailvelope or display it on your website profile.
- For Desktop Email Apps (Thunderbird, Apple Mail) If you prefer using desktop applications rather than a web browser to manage your email:
Mozilla Thunderbird: Thunderbird has PGP encryption built natively into the app. Simply go to Account Settings > End-to-End Encryption and click “Add Key” to create your free key pair.
Apple Mail (macOS): You can download GPG Suite, an open-source toolset that integrates encryption buttons directly into the standard Apple Mail interface.
